SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 39
(By Senators Minear and Hunter)
Congratulating the Tucker County High School girls' basketball team
for winning the 1997 state AA girls' championship.
Whereas, The Tucker County High School girls' basketball team
ended the season with twenty-six wins and no losses, earning it a
chance to participate in the 1997 state championship playoffs; and
Whereas, The Tucker County High School girls' basketball team
participated in and won the state AA girls' basketball championship
for the second consecutive year; and
Whereas, Head coach David Kyle and assistant coach Kelly
Underwood took great pride in leading their team to victory for the
second consecutive year; and
Whereas, The athletic ability and outstanding sportsmanship of
each of the team players, Amanda Barnes, Chrissy Forman, Chandra
Nelson, Stephanie Quattro, Sarah Hamrick, Amanda Petrice, Sunny
Arnold, Tiffany Bever, Alisha McCune, Nikkie Nelson, Sarah Paugh,
Qunilyn Soltow and Molly Quattro, helped to make winning the 1997
state AA championship a reality; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Senate:
That the Senate hereby congratulates the Tucker County High
School girls' basketball team for outstanding 1996 and 1997
basketball seasons and for winning the state AA championship for two consecutive years; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed to forward
a copy of this resolution to the principal of Tucker County High
School, Rose Kissinger;, head coach David Kyle and assistant coach
Kelly Underwood.
